SUMMARY:Handbuilding I: The Fundamentals - Adult - Tuesdays
DESCRIPTION:@ 10:00am – 12:00pm\n $175 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs. \nSession 1: September 2\, 9\, 16 & 23 \nSession 2: September 30\, October 7\, 14 & 21 \nSession 3: October 28\, November 4\, 11 & 18 \nSession 4: November 25\, December 2\, 9 & 16 \nHandbuilding I is an introductory ceramics class in which you learn all about techniques and tools. Students will be creating\, by hand\, functional pieces from start to finish with the guidance of an instructor. Learning to build with tools in the studio other than the wheel is key to understanding the art of clay. Students will get to explore the various capabilities of the slab roller\, extruder\, and numerous hand tools\, all of which provide an excellent foundation for the art of sculpture and pottery wheel. \nNo previous experience required. This class is for adults. \nClass size is limited to 10.                                  Instructor: Jess Jordan \nClasses include materials\, firing costs\, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes.
