Retail Gallery Docent for Local Artisan Shop
Dates: Saturdays from 10am – 1pm, or 1pm – 4pm
Location: Old Town Artisan Studios
We are seeking friendly volunteers to welcome guests to our Local Artisan Shop and retail gallery. Docents greet visitors, answer questions, and help create an inviting space. No experience needed.
Shifts are 3 hours long. During slower times, you’re welcome to bring a book or quiet activity. Seating and a small workspace are available for volunteers.

Paint Your Own Pottery Hosts

Location: Old Town Artisan Studios PYOP Studio
Paint Your Own Pottery (or “PYOP”) is a very exciting service that we offer here on our campus! Like all of our studio services, when individuals book a PYOP party with us (kid’s birthday, team-building activity, family retreat, etc.), proceeds help to offset costs in our mobile mission to bring art lessons into the community! We would love to have your help on some of our busier days. If you love people and enjoy customer service, you would be a great fit for our Pottery Painting Crew! Dates will continuously be added to this schedule, so be sure to keep an eye out of when we need some extra helpers!
Classroom Aides
Dates: September – December
Location: Old Town Artisan Studios
Join us in making our workshops a great experience! Classroom Aides help with set-up and clean-up, and assist instructors during class. It’s a fun, hands-on way to be part of the creative energy while supporting our artists and students. No experience needed—just a helpful spirit and a smile!
Mobile Arts Outreach Program

Dates: Various dates and times available.
Location: Meet OTAS staff at various schools, youth, and senior centers.
When a group does not have the means to come to our studio, we bring art classes to them! We work with many organizations across the valley, including the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Desert Arc, and more! Our instructor’s need assistance with loading and unloading our mobile outreach van, supporting the students with their art lesson, as well as setting up/cleaning up. Classes can range anywhere from 10-40 students at once, so volunteer help for our instructors is crucial. Outreach classes are fun and extremely rewarding!
