  • Teen Digital Art Camp 2025

    Teen - Ages 12 to 17 Looking for a fun way to beat the heat? Join us for our NEW Teen Digital Art Camp at Old Town Artisan Studios! This half day, week-long camp offers students the chance to work with a digital arts professional. Multiple, week-long sessions will be offered throughout the summer. Each session takes place Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and students are encouraged to bring their own bottled water. $135 per weekly session for remaining camps Instructor: Andy Taylor Maximum of 8 students per week. Each session takes place Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm. Each day, students will have 2 classes with an hour lunch break in between. We hope to see you there!     @ 10:30am – 11:30am $5.00 (includes supplies). This class is on June 21. Have little ones under 5 years old? Help them discover colors, lines, shapes, textures and a variety of media. Experience various sensory related toys and activities! Young artists can enjoy the process, while making their own creations to take home! Activities are designed for children, age birth to 5 years. If bringing older siblings to class please be advised that the activities are designated for the littles ones only and participation will only be for the children that are 5 years and under. Workshop Facilitator: Helen Shafton, a retired elementary art teacher, specializing in providing authentic art experiences for children with all abilities. Helen has also worked with students with cognitive and motor disabilities for more than two decades. Parent must accompany their child. Class size is limited to 10.  Cancellations must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund.   • Fused Glass: Freeze & Fuse Workshop – Adult – Tuesday

    @ 2:00pm – 4:00pm $75.00  (Includes all materials and firing costs) This class is on July 9th. Discover the art of fused glass in this engaging workshop, perfect for both beginners and experienced glass enthusiasts! Enjoy creating unique glass shapes using glass powder and silicone molds, all while having fun in a supportive group setting. The workshop fee includes 2 hours of hands-on instruction, all necessary materials, and supplies to craft approx. 6-8 artistic glass shapes (shapes are approx. 1-2 inches) that can be used as magnets, pendants or in other glass projects. Completed projects will be available for pickup at the OTAS front desk on the Monday following the workshop.   • Acrylic Pour Workshop – Adult

    @ 10:00am – 12:00pm $85.00 (includes all materials). This class is on September 16. Acrylic Pour is a fluid painting technique using acrylic paint to create marvelous works of art! This technique is very approachable for beginners, and yet allows one the opportunity to get as creative and complex as you desire. Students will be working on wood canvases with a gloss finish. Each student will make 2 acrylic pours (one 8x8 and one 12x12). Due to drying time and spray varnishing each piece, student work will be available for pickup on the Saturday after the workshop.   • Eco Scarves Workshop – Adult

    @ 10:00am – 2:00pm $145.00 (includes all materials). This class is on September 23. This class combines using natural botanicals and a mordant to create beautiful, wearable works of art inspired by nature! Ecoprinting is a process where plant materials are placed on specially treated fabric and then steamed to release the tanin in the plants, leaving realistic prints of the plants on the fabric. You will get hands-on classroom instruction in how to make these uniquely dyed scarves perfect for wearing or gifting. During the steaming process, you will make a bonus item Felted Soap as a supplemental mini project! Please feel free to bring a lunch/snack to enjoy. All skill levels are welcome!
