  • Beginning Glass Blown Pumpkin Workshop – Adult – Wednesday, October 29

    October 29th $150.00 (includes all materials) Create your very own glass blown pumpkin! This workshop requires no previous experience. Students will pick out colors and create their own glass pumpkin using traditional techniques under the instruction of Jason and Nicole McQuaid who have over 35 years of experience in glassblowing. All items will be available for pick up at the Old Town Artisan Studios’ reception desk 48 hours after the workshop.   • Photography: Beyond the Snapshot

Session 1: November 3, 10, 17, & 24 Becoming A Creative Photographer:Learn to cultivate a creative mindset as you master the fundamentals of photography. We will explore the general elements of composition and exposure, then apply these to the various genres of photography. You will also learn the basics of “seeing” to express yourself artistically through your photographs. We will review the rules of photography and then how to break them to create your personal photographic vision in a supportive atmosphere.   • The Art of Music: Jazzgrass

    Jazzgrass November 13, 2025 @ 6:00 - 7:30 pm Jazzgrass was formed in 1999 by Barnaby Finch to honor the newer and more progressive side of Bluegrass music. He was originally smitten with the music of a short-lived all-star band, put together at the Telluride Festival, called "Strength In Numbers". Jazzgrass originally had Sean and Sara Watkins, soon to be very famous with Nickel Creek, and Kevin Hennessy on bass. Nickel Creek burst onto the scene, and that was the end of that lineup. In 2011, Barnaby wanted to perform that music again, and recruited some talented locals to play. There's Lily McCabe on fiddle, a talented young lady with a gorgeous tone, who plays for the Troubadours at the Ramona Festival. Lily is also a wonderful singer, and we’re featuring her on quite a few vocal tunes. We have Don Reed on mandolin, dobro, and guitar. He's a famous Idyllwild musician who's performed with J.J. Cale, Dick Dale, Ian Tyson, and Jackie de Shannon. Experience various sensory related toys and activities! Young artists can enjoy the process, while making their own creations to take home! Activities are designed for children aged birth to 5 years. If bringing older siblings to class, please note that activities are designated for the little ones only and participation is limited to children 5 and under. Workshop Facilitator: Helen Shafton, a retired elementary art teacher, specializing in providing authentic art experiences for children with all abilities.
