This class combines using natural botanicals and a mordant to create beautiful, wearable works of art inspired by nature! Eco Printing is a process where plant materials are placed on specially treated fabric and then steamed to release the tanin in the plants, leaving realistic prints of the plants on the fabric. You will get hands-on classroom instruction in how to make these uniquely dyed scarves perfect for wearing or gifting. You will make one silk, and one cotton scarf. During the steaming process, you will make a bonus item Felted Soap as a supplemental mini project! Please feel free to bring a lunch/snack to enjoy.
