Looking for something to fit your schedule?
Visiting La Quinta for a short amount of time? Not interested in a 4-week class? Looking to try something new? Try a one-day workshop or private lesson! Be sure to keep in mind that some projects take time to be fired and may not be ready for pick up until 2 weeks out. Read on to learn more!
What is the difference between a class and a workshop, you ask? Great question! Both are fee-based, scheduled opportunities open to the public and can be found on our website. Classes take place in 4-week sessions, meeting once a week for 4 weeks, and can be found here. Workshops only take place on one day for 2-3 hours, depending on the medium, and can be found below. But wait–there is another option! Private lessons are customized opportunities for you and your group. Please call or email to schedule a private lesson.
Workshops take place for 2-3 hours on one day. Upcoming workshops can be found below. Not seeing what you’re looking for? Contact and we can help you arrange a private workshop! Workshops are offered in ceramics, fused glass, acrylic pour, silk scarves, printmaking, and more!
Private lessons are available for individuals or small groups in the areas of pottery, ceramic handbuilding, fused glass, and more!
Handprints in Clay
Capture this moment in time with Handprints in Clay!
In this 1-hour workshop, you will help create a ceramic plaque made of raw clay and then make your imprint with your choice of hands, feet, or paws! Plaques can be customized with name, age, and date. As for the design? Choose between a more rustic finish with a bisque firing, and a smooth glaze finish with your choice of color!
Each plaque is $30, and up to 4 plaques may be made in one session. All materials are non-toxic and child-friendly. This project is designed for ages 1 – 5, and a parent or adult must be present throughout the session. Please allow up to 3 weeks for pieces to be completed. We will notify you as soon as they are ready for pick-up. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (760) 777-1444.
