What’s it all about?
Get ready for DUO, Old Town Artisan Studios’ highly anticipated fall art show and fundraiser! This event brings together the exceptional talents of local, regional, and statewide artists, all of whom have generously donated their original works in support of our mission. From captivating paintings and stunning photographs to unique sculptures and mixed media masterpieces, this diverse collection will be on display.
Join us for a celebration of creativity and community, and be part of something special that directly supports art experiences for all.
EVENT DETAILS
The exhibition, DUO, will be presented in Leland Gallery at Old Town Artisan Studios from November 6 to December 16, 2024. A variety of paintings, photographs, prints, sculptures, and mixed media works will be on display and up for raffle to raise funds for our mission. Visitors have the opportunity to win their favorite artworks by purchasing raffle tickets in person ($5 each, $30 for seven, $75 for 21,
$100 for 40). Raffle ticket sales will close on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 8:00pm. Winners will be announced Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
OPENING RECEPTION
An opening reception will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00pm in celebration of both the opening of this event and the participating artists who contributed. Located at the Leland Gallery at Old Town Artisan Studios (78046 Calle Barcelona, La Quinta, CA, 92253).
ARTIST CALL
Now seeking artists to donate an original work of art in the medium of their choosing. These masterpieces will be displayed in our Leland Gallery and raffled off to benefit our extensive outreach arts program. Artists that donate work receive:
- Listing on website for one year
- Placement in the Leland Gallery for one month during the fundraiser
- Invitation to the Opening Reception
We are deeply grateful to the artists that participate in our art fundraisers, as their contributions help raise essential funds that enable us to offer affordable classes to individuals of all ages and abilities.
RULES OF ENTRY
1. Participants must be 16 years or older.
2. Only one and/or two original artworks per artist.
3. The color palette for all artworks MUST be the varying tints, shades, and tones of the complementary color combination: RED & GREEN.
4. All subject matter and mediums are accepted. However, OTAS reserves the right to refuse pieces due to any reason.
5. Scale (size) of the artworks can be up to but no larger than 20×20” inches.
6. 3D work can be no larger than 16x16x16” inches in scale.
7. Upon submission, provide:
- contact information
- a bio and/or artist statement (50 words max.)
- artist website and/or social media (if applicable)
8. LABEL your artwork on the back or bottom with: Name, Title, Mediums (used), & Date.
9. Art must be ready to be displayed or hung with a hook or wire attachments. Eye hooks are not accepted.
10. Mailed-in pieces will be accepted, but shall follow all guidelines and will be included in the inventory list the day it’s received. Include all required information in the mailed package. OTAS will not be responsible for any damaged artworks or pieces that do not follow the Rules of Entry.
ARTWORK DROP OFF
All art must be dropped off between September 30 through October 25, 2024. Submission of artwork will count as your entry for the event. Please be sure to drop off your pieces during our regular
business hours (Mon. – Sat. from 10:00am-5:00pm).
ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2024.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
