Flush. Cap. Drop-in. Flanged. How many ways are there to make lids for your vessels? It’s a trick question as the possibilities are endless. There are, however, some very important things to consider when making our lids, specific forms and techniques being just the beginning. In this 4 week class we’ll start each week with a specific demonstration and then, it’ll be time to jump in, get your hands muddy and explore all things lidded. How many things really need lids you might wonder. Here are just a few to think about:
- Boxes
- Casseroles
- Jars
- Salt cellars
- Butter dishes/bells
- Honey pots
Some previous clay experience is required.
