    Fred Benedetti April 10, 2025 @ 6:00 - 7:30 pm Sponsored by Jennifer Hart and Bob Bowling Fred Benedetti began studies of classical guitar at the age of 16 and by age 26 was one of 12 guitarists worldwide to perform in one of the last masterclasses of Maestro Andres Segovia. Fred has performed in the United States, England, Germany, the Czech Republic, Canada, Taiwan and Mexico and locally with the San Diego Symphony, the San Diego Opera, the Starlight Opera, the American Ballet Company, the Old Globe Theatre, Luciano Pavarotti, and jazz artist Dave Brubeck.   Because of his ability to play a variety of musical styles, Fred has shared the  stage with Mason Williams, Eric Johnson, Doc Watson, Albert Lee,  Art Garfunkel, and has recorded with Willie Nelson,  Juice Newton, Paul Overstreet, Patty Loveless, and  William Lee Golden.     Nathan James Band with Special Guest Victor Puertas October 9, 2025 @ 6:00 - 7:30 pm An evening of original blues and roots music by the Nathan James Band featuring special guest from Barcelona, Spain, Victor Puertas on Hammond Organ, harmonica, and vocals. Nathan James is a well-known and respected roots and blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter based in the San Jacinto Mountains, CA. Immersing himself in the blues as a teenager, he joined blues legend James Harman’s band at just 19 and toured the USA before starting his solo career. Nathan’s original sound blends traditions from piedmont and delta blues to rhythm & blues, soul, and country. Alongside his own band and solo work, he has backed harmonica greats like Kim Wilson and Rod Piazza, recorded on the Grammy-nominated A Tribute to Little Walter, and has released 11 albums with both original music as well as covers, all while touring extensively in the USA, Canada, Europe, and South America.   • The Art of Music: Jazzgrass

    Jazzgrass November 13, 2025 @ 6:00 - 7:30 pm Jazzgrass was formed in 1999 by Barnaby Finch to honor the newer and more progressive side of Bluegrass music. He was originally smitten with the music of a short-lived all-star band, put together at the Telluride Festival, called "Strength In Numbers". Jazzgrass originally had Sean and Sara Watkins, soon to be very famous with Nickel Creek, and Kevin Hennessy on bass. Nickel Creek burst onto the scene, and that was the end of that lineup. In 2011, Barnaby wanted to perform that music again, and recruited some talented locals to play. There's Lily McCabe on fiddle, a talented young lady with a gorgeous tone, who plays for the Troubadours at the Ramona Festival. Lily is also a wonderful singer, and we’re featuring her on quite a few vocal tunes. We have Don Reed on mandolin, dobro, and guitar. He's a famous Idyllwild musician who's performed with J.J. Cale, Dick Dale, Ian Tyson, and Jackie de Shannon.
