Session 1: December 30, January 6, 13 & 20 Session 2: January 27, February 3, 10 & 24* * (No Class February 17) Session 3: March 3, 10, 17 & 24 Session 4: March 31, April 7, 14 & 21 Discover the art of the human form with Dynamic Anatomy, specially designed for students 12-18. Through four comprehensive classes, students will build a solid foundation in figure drawing for cartoons, comics, animation, and manga. They will explore essential techniques such as shapes, proportions, and gesture drawing. Students will delve into muscular anatomy and how to exaggerate proportions to reach their desired outcome in a variety of styles. As they progress, students will learn to capture motion with dynamic action poses, understand the nuances of drapery and apply advanced techniques like foreshortening and shading to add depth to their characters. The final class culminates in a portfolio review, showcasing their newfound skills and artistic growth! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing.
