Mata Ortiz Art Sales & Live Demonstrations
Internationally renowned artisans from the heart of Chihuahua, Mexico are coming to Old Town Artisan Studios! Inspired by the ancient pottery of Paquimé, artist Juan Quezada revived a lost art form and sparked a cultural renaissance in Mata Ortiz, Chihuahua. Today, artisans continue his legacy—hand-coiling, painting, and firing each piece by hand to honor the spirit of their ancestors while shaping the future of contemporary Mexican ceramics.

The Leland Gallery will feature artwork by our very own instructors, including Colby Cramer, Frank Lemus, Angel Prudencio, Jess Jordan, and Robin Hart! Artwork will be on display in the Leland Gallery from November 19 through November 28. Stop by Monday – Saturday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
