In this 4-week course, students will learn the foundations of the Italic hand using a broad-edged dip pen, exploring the contrast of thick and thin strokes while developing strong letter formation, spacing, and flow. The class progresses from basic strokes to words, sentences, and a finished piece of calligraphic art, and includes a brief look at the history and global examples of this elegant script.
