@ 2:00pm – 4:00pm $75.00  Includes all materials and firing costs. This class is on January 21st. Whether you are an experienced glass fuser or have never heard of fused glass, this workshop is a great opportunity to have fun with a group of people making a set of fused glass wine stopper and a matching trivet. Cost includes 2 hours of instruction, glass and supplies to complete one stopper and one trivet. Projects will be ready for pickup at the OTAS front desk on the Monday after the workshop. @ 10:30am – 11:30am $5.00 (includes supplies). This class is on January 25th. Have little ones under 5 years old? Help them discover colors, lines, shapes, textures and a variety of media. Experience various sensory related toys and activities! Young artists can enjoy the process, while making their own creations to take home! Activities are designed for children, age birth to 5 years. If bringing older siblings to class please be advised that the activities are designated for the littles ones only and participation will only be for the children that are 5 years and under. Workshop Facilitator: Helen Shafton, a retired elementary art teacher, specializing in providing authentic art experiences for children with all abilities. Helen has also worked with students with cognitive and motor disabilities for more than two decades. Parent must accompany their child. Create one bracelet and a pair of earrings using copper wire, washers, and beads. By the end of the session, you will have stunning, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces to take home. Join us for a 2 day mixed media art workshop, using different mediums and embellishments to create a one of a kind piece of art! You will have the opportunity to make one 9 x 12 art piece. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome! All supplies will be provided. February 12th $150.00 (includes all materials) Create your very own stunning heart paperweight! This workshop requires no previous experience. Students will pick out colors and create their own glass heart using traditional techniques under the instruction of Jason and Nicole McQuaid who have over 35 years of experience in glassblowing. All items will be available for pick-up 48 hours after the workshop at the Old Town Artisan Studios’ reception desk. Create a wearable art silk scarf blended with wool roving and embellishments, while learning the introductory processes of felting in this 3-hour workshop. Nuno Felting is a process of blending natural fibers such as silk and wool using water, heat and friction. Bring your creativity - no sewing or knitting required! Please keep in mind that felting can be repetitive and labor intensive. Please bring a snack if you wish!
