Artist Statement: I created these two works of mixed media art using a combination of acrylic, watercolor, ink and homemade collage papers. Adhering to a set of parameters which allowed for using only shades, hues and values of blue and orange was really fun. I love the way the complimentary colors came together so beautifully. The layers also provide a texture and depth that will draw the curious viewer to take a closer look. I believe each piece has its own personality, however, they work well as a pair.
