What are private lessons?
Private lessons are lessons for individuals or groups interested in scheduling a project-based or skill-based lesson that is outside of our regularly scheduled classes and workshops. We offer private lessons in ceramics, pottery wheel, ceramic handbuilding, glazing, and fused glass. Pricing, availability, and scheduling vary based on medium and number of participants.
Why book a private lesson? Private lessons are a great option for those visitng town, those interested in more focused training, those unable to attend a regularly scheduled class, or any other reason you might think of!
Can I take my project home that day? All projects in ceramics and fused glass take time to dry and/or be fired and will not be ready for pick up until 2 – 3 weeks from when they are created.
What are events? Events can be anything from a lunch to a birthday party and more! Events may or may not include an art activity depending on your preference.
How do I schedule a lesson or event? To schedule a private lessons or event, please fill of a request form (linked below). A member of our team will review your request a follow with you soon after.
When do you offer private lessons or events? There are a great deal of wonderful artistic happenings on campus every day! Our instructor and space availability varies greatly from week to week. When filling our a request form, you will have the opportunity to share your availailbity and we do our best to make it happen!

Pottery Wheel
Everyone’s favorite! Pottery wheels are designed for forming uniformly circular pieces likes plates, bowls, and cups. Let you creativity flourish with this exciting yet meditative medium.
Handbuilding
Learn the ancient pottery-making technique of handbuilding through which you use your hands and simple tools to create ceramic forms without a pottery wheel. The possibilities are endless!
Fused Glass
From coral bowls to wind chimes and beyond, fused glass is an enchanting medium that involves joining various textures of glass then firing in a kiln at high temperatures to create functional pieces and beautiful artwork.

A sweet remembrance of who they are today to cherish for tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow…
In this 1-hour workshop, you will help create a ceramic plaque made of raw clay and then make your imprint with your choice of hands, feet, or paws! Plaques can be customized with name, age, and date. As for the design? Choose between a more rustic finish with a bisque firing, and a smooth glaze finish with your choice of color!
Each plaque is $30, and up to 4 plaques may be made in one session. All materials are non-toxic and child-friendly. This project is designed for ages 1 – 5, and a parent or adult must be present throughout the session. Please allow up to 3 weeks for pieces to be completed. We will notify you as soon as they are ready for pick-up.
