Successful Glazing Workshop
Successful Glazing is an informative workshop aimed to improve glazing skills and results. Students will learn about glaze properties, various methods of application, and techniques to expand their creative language. Glaze defects, touch ups, and finishing will also be discussed. Students are asked to bring two ceramic pieces. Some experience is recommended but not required, this is open for beginners and advanced students alike.
Highlights:
- Glaze properties: What is a glaze? Deep dive inside the bucket and find out what ingredients glazes contain, what is their function, and why this is important for your practice and specific projects.
- Glaze methods and techniques: learn the different ways of applying glaze to your projects and how to manipulate the glaze attribute to your needs.
- Touch up and finish: Gain confidence in handling your work, touching up common mistakes, and finishing up your project strong.
- Glaze defects: Find out how glaze defects are produced and how to prevent them in the future.
