Lampworking is a type of glasswork that uses a torch to melt and shape glass. This is a basic course for those who want to start learning/or trying glass working with the lampworking technique. Students will work on the torch with Borosilicate Glass rods to create glass pendants and small sculptures. Students will pick out colored glass rods to use in their creations. Instructors are Jason and Nicole McQuaid, who have over 35 years of lampworking and jewelry making experience. All items will be available for pick up at the Old Town Artisan Studios’ reception desk 48 hours after the workshop.
4 students per time slot. Instructors: Jason and Nicole McQuaid
Safety Requirements: Please keep long hair tucked and tied back, also wear closed-toed and closed-heeled footwear for this workshop.
