Ceramics II – Adult

Old Town Artisan Studios 78046 Calle Barcelona, La Quinta

Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm $170 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs. The dates for this class are March 27, April 3, 10 & 17 Ceramics II is an intermediate level handbuilding class in which students will build on the skills learned in our introductory course. Students will have the opportunity to expand their thinking and drive their own creative ideas for class projects. Completion of Ceramics I is not required, but is highly recommended. Class size is limited to 10.                          Instructor: Colby Cramer Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. (Additional studio time can be purchased for the reduced student rate of $8/hr.) Cancellations must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class in order to receive a full refund.

Joy of Watercolor – Adult

Karin will be demonstrating and sharing individual instruction in mixing vibrant colors, strong design and sharing the impact of light and shadow. Youth Pottery Wheel – Ages 10 to 15

Wednesdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs.  The dates for this class are March 27, April 3, 10 & 17 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing.
