Mondays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials.  The dates for this class are March 11, 18, 25 & April 1 Painting, Printmaking and More! This class will teach the building blocks used by artists to create works of art through painting with acrylics and printmaking. Students will explore and learn techniques such as light, form, color wheel concepts, perspective, texture and composition. Tuesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm  $160 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs.  The dates for this class are March 26, April 2, 9 & 16 Ceramics I is an introductory handbuilding class in which you learn all about techniques and tools. Students will be creating, by hand, functional ceramic pieces from start to finish with the guidance of an instructor. Learning to build with tools in the studio other than the wheel is key to understanding the art of clay. Students will get to explore the various capabilities of the slab roller, extruder, and numerous hand tools, all of which provide an excellent foundation for the art of sculpture and pottery wheel. No previous experience required. Class size is limited to 10.                                  Instructor: Colby Cramer Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. This class is on March 26, April 2, 9 & 16 Fused Glass I is an introductory level class in which students will learn safety and basic fusing concepts such as how glass behaves at different temperatures in a kiln, cutting and shaping sheet glass, and the various types of glass that are available to the kiln glass artist. We will focus initially on arranging glass for flat fusing―the first step towards many more advanced techniques, including bowl making. Students will work on specific projects designed by the instructor to master each of the basic skills. No previous experience required. Can’t get enough of this brilliantly intricate and tactile artform with endless possibilities? Come together with other experienced artists to challenge yourself and strengthen your skills in a more fast-paced and independently driven environment. Students will have access to all studio tools, including the pottery wheel. Previous experience and instructor permission is required. The dates for this class are March 27, April 3, 10 & 17 Ceramics II is an intermediate level handbuilding class in which students will build on the skills learned in our introductory course. Students will have the opportunity to expand their thinking and drive their own creative ideas for class projects. Completion of Ceramics I is not required, but is highly recommended. WEDNESDAYS 1:30pm – 4:00pm $155 for 4 week session - student provides art materials and supplies This class is on March 27, April 3, 10 & 17 For the experienced watercolor painter that would like to learn new skills, enhance your personal style and explore new techniques, this class is for you! Karin will be demonstrating and sharing individual instruction in mixing vibrant colors, strong design and sharing the impact of light and shadow. Wednesdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs.  The dates for this class are March 27, April 3, 10 & 17 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing. Thursdays 10:00am – 12:00pm $180 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs. The dates for this class are March 28, April 4, 11 & 18 Intermediate pottery wheel class will help you polish your potter’s wheel skills with projects specially designed to develop your technique and creativity. Previous wheel throwing experience is required. You must know how to wedge, center, pull, trim and shape the clay. Thursdays 10:00am – 12:30pm $155 for 4 week session - student provides art materials and supplies Studio to supply art materials for an additional $75 fee This class is on March 28, April 4, 11 & 18 This class is tailored for beginning to intermediate students with some drawing skills. Advanced level artists are also welcomed. You will learn and practice basic techniques of transparent watercolor. You will become familiar with the concept of creating art (not copying nature). We will review the basic principles to creating good art and share ideas and tricks of the trade with each other.
