Wet felting is the process by which wool, warm water, soap and agitation are used to create a non-woven felted fabric. Join us as we explore the possibilities of wet felting techniques and create two beautiful luminaries to take home. Please keep in mind that felting can be repetitive and labor intensive. Please bring a snack if you wish! In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of shibori-inspired folding and binding techniques to create beautiful patterns on fabric with indigo dye. You will get to make one scarf (cotton) and one tote bag (cotton). You will be amazed as the stunning one of a kind patterns are unfolded and revealed. @ 10:00am – 12:00pm $75.00 (includes all materials). This class is on January 21st. Acrylic Pour is a fluid painting technique using acrylic paint to create marvelous works of art! This technique is very approachable for beginners, and yet allows one the opportunity to get as creative and complex as you desire. Students will be working on wood canvases. Each student will make 2 acrylic pours, one small wood canvas for practice and a larger wood canvas to perfect your technique. Due to drying time, student work will be available for pickup on the Saturday following the workshop.
