Chuck Alvarez is an accomplished guitarist and singer/songwriter, who has been
performing nationally and internationally for over 40 years.
Chuck has six cds released under his own name and as The Chuck Alvarez Band, and his music, while rooted in blues, incorporates jazz, Americana, and acoustic folk.
Alvarez has also had a successful career playing guitar as a side man for Tim Weisberg, David Benoit, The Emotions, Deanna Bogart and Lisa Haley. He also backed up Little Richard and Gerald Albright.
As a songwriter Chuck has been commissioned at least a dozen times to write music for musical theatre and television, and his work is still performed by The London Ballet and other theatre groups in Europe, as well as locally. Notably several years ago at The Pasadena Playhouse.
Chuck has had the honor to tour several times for the military domestically and abroad performing for our troops at several bases in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and on three different aircraft carriers.
Chuck’s shows are high energy while being very intimate, as he enjoys sharing the
personal experiences and inspiration that lead to his song writing.
