Enjoy a new awareness of what we “really see”, creating depth and dimension with light and shadow. Then add exciting and innovative techniques to create your own unique art! No previous experience required. The dates for this class are April 8, 15, 22 & 29 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing. No previous experience required. Class size is limited to 9.                             Instructor: Colby Cramer Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. (Additional studio time can be purchased for the reduced student rate of $8/hr.) Cancellations must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class in order to receive a full refund.

This class is on April 8, 15, 22 & 29 Students will walk away from this 4 week course with knowledge of the basics of sewing. You will be able to confidently work a sewing machine and understand how to cut fabric from a pattern. After making a few projects in this class, you will be able to start creating sewing projects at home! If you have old jeans or pants you no longer use, please consider donating them for use in making a fun sewing project. Thank you! Mondays 10:30am – 12:30pm $295 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs. This class is on April 8, 15, 22 & 29 Fused Glass II is designed to build on the skills learned in our introductory class. With a solid foundation of knowledge and technique, this intermediate class will spark your creativity and imagination to help you see what is possible when you begin to unlock the “artist within”. In this course students will create and design unique projects of varying size and shape. Students will learn how to incorporate different materials such as metals, enamels, and decals into their work. We encourage students to bring in their inspiration photos and create their own one-of-a-kind piece. Completion of Fused Glass 1 or instructor approval is required. Mondays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials.  The dates for this class are April 8, 15, 22 & 29 Painting, Printmaking and More! This class will teach the building blocks used by artists to create works of art through painting with acrylics and printmaking. Students will explore and learn techniques such as light, form, color wheel concepts, perspective, texture and composition. Tuesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm $175.00 for 4 week session. Includes all materials. This class is on April 16, 23, 30 & May 7 Learn to make a basket made from long leaf pine needles, using waxed linen thread, an assortment of beads or other embellishments, starting with a sliced walnut shell center. In this 4 week course each participant will create a one of a kind woven basket and have the knowledge to continue this art form at home. No experience necessary.
