Tuesdays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials and firing costs.  The dates for this class are April 23, 30, May 7 & 14 Intro to Ceramics is an introductory handbuilding class in which you learn all about techniques and tools. Students will be creating, by hand, functional ceramic pieces from start to finish with the guidance of an instructor. Learning to build with tools in the studio other than the wheel is key to understanding the art of clay. Students will get to explore the various capabilities of the slab roller, extruder, and numerous hand tools, all of which provide an excellent foundation for other ceramic disciplines. Includes all materials and firing costs.  The dates for this class are April 24, May 1, 8 & 15 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing. Mondays 3:30pm – 5:00pm $150 for 4 week session. Includes all materials.  The dates for this class are May 6, 13, 20 & June 3 (No class on May 27th) Painting, Printmaking and More! This class will teach the building blocks used by artists to create works of art through painting with acrylics and printmaking. Students will explore and learn techniques such as light, form, color wheel concepts, perspective, texture and composition.
