Join other artists as we explore the concepts of expressing the feeling of a subject and how NOT to paint “in the lines”. Learn to paint free, loose and FUN! Dave will share his philosophy, techniques, and theory of this expressive medium. We will work on landscape, seascape and cityscape. Youth – Digital Art Comic Book Creation – Ages 12 to 18 – Thursdays

Offered:  Session 1: January 2, 9, 16 & 23 and Session 3: February 27, March 6, 13 & 20 Welcome to the world of comic book creation with our four-week course designed for young artists! This class will guide students through every step of the comic book process. Beginning with writing a page of script using professional methods and formatting, students will learn to pencil, ink, and color their own comic book page. Through hands-on activities and expert instruction, students will develop their artistic skills and bring their ideas to life. Complete with vibrant characters, dynamic pacing and engaging narratives. This class not only fosters creativity and storytelling but also provides a solid foundation in comic book artistry. Pottery Wheel – Adult – Fridays

Session 1: January 3, 10, 17 & 24 Session 2: January 31, February 7, 14 & 21 Session 3: February 28, March 7, 14 & 21 Session 4: March 28, April 4, 11 & 18 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing. No previous experience required. Class size is limited to 10.                       Instructor: Colby Cramer Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. Students will have the opportunity to expand their thinking and drive their own creative ideas for class projects. Completion of Ceramics I is not required, but is highly recommended.
