The dates for this class are March 11, 18, 25 & April 1 The pottery wheel is a rather exciting and challenging tool in the world of ceramics! Explore the art of throwing clay on the pottery wheel as you learn to craft one-of-a-kind pieces from start to finish. Students will learn the basics and beyond, including clay preparation, proper body positioning, centering, pulling walls, shaping, trimming, and glazing. No previous experience required. Class size is limited to 9.                             Instructor: Colby Cramer Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. You will be able to confidently work a sewing machine and understand how to cut fabric from a pattern. After making a few projects in this class, you will be able to start creating sewing projects at home! This class is on March 11, 18, 25 & April 1 Fused Glass II is designed to build on the skills learned in our introductory class. With a solid foundation of knowledge and technique, this intermediate class will spark your creativity and imagination to help you see what is possible when you begin to unlock the “artist within”. In this course students will create and design unique projects of varying size and shape. Students will learn how to incorporate different materials such as metals, enamels, and decals into their work. We encourage students to bring in their inspiration photos and create their own one-of-a-kind piece. Completion of Fused Glass 1 or instructor approval is required. This class will teach the building blocks used by artists to create works of art through painting with acrylics and printmaking. Students will explore and learn techniques such as light, form, color wheel concepts, perspective, texture and composition.
