Wednesday, February 21st $150.00 (includes all materials) Lampworking is a type of glasswork that uses a torch to melt and shape glass. This is a basic course for those who want to start learning/or trying glass working with the lampworking technique. Students will work on the torch with Borosilicate Glass rods to create glass pendants and small sculptures. Students will pick out colored glass rods to use in their creations. Instructors are Jason and Nicole McQuaid, who have over 35 years of lampworking and jewelry making experience. All items will be available for pick up at the Old Town Artisan Studios’ reception desk 48 hours after the workshop. 4 students per time slot.        Instructors: Jason and Nicole McQuaid Safety Requirements: Please keep long hair tucked and tied back, also wear closed-toed and closed-heeled footwear for this workshop.Cancellations must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the event to receive a full refund.

Saturday 10:30am – 11:30am $5.00 (includes supplies). This class is on February 24 Have little ones under 5 years old? Help them discover colors, lines, shapes, textures and a variety of media. Experience various sensory related toys and activities! Young artists can enjoy the process, while making their own creations to take home! Activities are designed for children, age birth to 5 years. If bringing older siblings to class please be advised that the activities are designated for the littles ones only and participation will only be for the children that are 5 years and under. Workshop Facilitator: Helen Shafton, a retired elementary art teacher, specializing in providing authentic art experiences for children with all abilities. Helen has also worked with students with cognitive and motor disabilities for more than two decades. Parent must accompany their child. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 10:00am – 1:00pm $195.00 (Some basic supplies and easels will be provided) This class is on February 26, 27, & 28 Let’s Do This! In this 3-day workshop Terry will share a technique using color to create a stunning image of an animal that can be applied to any image. So bring yourself and an open mind to create! ALL SUPPLIES WILL BE PROVIDED Beginners, intermediates and advanced students welcome. Tuesday 10:00am – 12:00pm $75.00 (includes all materials). This class is on February 27th Create beautiful silk scarves in your favorite colors! Each student will create two scarves - keep both for yourself or give one as a gift! We will be using a special technique using dye transfer tissue paper on 100% silk scarves. A fun workshop for mothers and daughters, best friends or private parties. These scarves will make unique and treasured holiday, birthday and hostess gifts. Tuesday 10:00am – 1:00pm $145.00 (includes supplies). This class is on March 5 Looking for a new art form to try this year? Wet felting is the process by which wool, warm water, soap and agitation are used to create a non-woven felted fabric. Join us as we explore the possibilities of wet felting techniques and create a one of a kind vessel to take home. Please keep in mind that felting can be repetitive and labor intensive. Please bring a snack if you wish! Join us for a note card-making workshop, using different styles of stamps, fun ways to make backgrounds and a variety of embellishment supplies! You will have the opportunity to make up to 6, one of a kind card masterpieces. Beginners and experienced card makers are welcome! All card-making supplies are provided. Please bring a snack/lunch if you wish!
