Saturday 10:30am – 11:30am $5.00 (includes supplies). This class is on November 11 Have little ones under 5 years old? Help them discover colors, lines, shapes, textures and a variety of media. Experience various sensory related toys and activities! Young artists can enjoy the process, while making their own creations to take home! Activities are designed for children, age birth to 5 years. If bringing older siblings to class please be advised that the activities are designated for the littles ones only and participation will only be for the children that are 5 years and under. Workshop Facilitator: Helen Shafton, a retired elementary art teacher, specializing in providing authentic art experiences for children with all abilities. Helen has also worked with students with cognitive and motor disabilities for more than two decades. Parent must accompany their child. Tuesday 10:00am – 12:00pm $95.00 (includes all materials). This class is on Nov 14 In this hands-on workshop you will learn the basics of shibori-inspired folding and binding techniques to create beautiful patterns on fabric with indigo dye. You will get to make one scarf (cotton) and one tote bag (cotton). You will be amazed as the stunning one of a kind patterns are unfolded and revealed. Tuesday 5:30pm – 7:30pm $75.00 (includes materials and firing costs). This class is on November 14th. Join us for a Holiday Tree Making Clay Workshop! As the holidays draw near, we must prepare to decorate and celebrate! Step by step, we will teach you to transform the clay into a festive holiday tree. Each student will make one tree, approximately 7 inches tall and the instructor will bring your tree to life with glaze. Why get started so early? Once you have brought them to life, these holiday trees need time to dry and be fired before they embellish your home for the holidays. Wednesday 1:30pm – 4:30pm $65.00 (includes materials). This class is on November 15th. Autumn Colors Captured in Watercolor! Capture the vibrant colors of the Fall and learn the magic of ‘rich and juicy’ watercolors! A tulip template will be provided for all participants. Supplies included and all levels welcome! This class is on November 27, 28, & 29 This 3-day workshop will expose you to new and wonderful ways to create an image with color. Big and Bold color that allows the viewer to see something new and exciting in a face. Your easels, paints and canvas with image will be supplied. Wet felting is the process by which wool, warm water, soap and agitation are used to create a non-woven felted fabric. Join us as we explore the possibilities of wet felting techniques and create a one of a kind vessel to take home. Please keep in mind that felting can be repetitive and labor intensive. Please bring a snack if you wish!
